Tuesday in Town

Nothing too exciting today. Around the outside of the island for the morning walk with a stop at the market for fresh strawberries.

The tugboats were in town again

Old B&B under renovation

Even when jogging, they talk with their hands

Sea urchin diving

This catamaran is back in town

The pier where the people were watching the sunset last night.

The reflections were amazing again today

Extra large tour boat, things are going to get busy around town

I went for a quick trip at the market to pick up stuff that we were missing. I took a back street route that I had never been on after seeing a small square. Ended up finding a small restaurant that has been in business for over 100 years. May go there for supper tomorrow night.

A statue that we could see from our walks

Cheap wine and homemade pasta

Must be one of the oldest restaurant on the island

Honey and sweet vendor at the market

Storage shed in the market area. Calendar photo has been edited to remove the obvious parts.

For Wendy's lunchtime walk we went on the hunt for a wine glass on the mainland part of town. I had broken one the other day and since company is coming, a 4th one is needed but I guess we could have drank out of a juice glass. Found one and it was only 1.50 euro. Walked the back street but nothing too exciting. When I got home I realized that I had not even taken 1 picture.

Since we had a late lunch break, we decided to go for a long walk at 5PM. We were definitely not hungry. We walked a bit on the wall but mostly on the streets around town as it was a bit chilly with a breeze.  I took Wendy to show her where the restaurant was that I had found. It is really off the beaten path that most tourist would never find.  She is excited has they have fresh pasta on the menu.  Will talk more about it if we go tomorrow night.

Very quiet tonight except for a couple of school groups

Natural Gas or Propane delivery

Not the same sunset as last night.
For supper, we had artichokes for an appetizer and mussels for the main. These are wild mussels. They are about the same price as home but the artichokes are a lot cheaper. We got the big ones and they were .8 Euro each but the small one start at .4 Euro each.

  1. We are eating a lot of artichokes also. Here they sell for .99 kg. Which works out to about the same price I think
