Friday, weekend almost here

A beautiful day this morning, the wind is down and the temperature is up. Did our usual walking tour of the island and then a quick walk to the market to pick up strawberries for breakfast.

Love locks, but not many as we seen in some towns where they cut them as it is causing a weight problem for the bridges

I think the big boats, about 15 of them, are waiting for a season to open. They are fixing nets but otherwise not too much action is going on. Unless they leave very late in the evening and get back very early in the morning and we don't see it.

These 2 guys were having a breakfast picnic on the beach at 8:30AM

Another walk around the island at lunch break.

A large area above the car park. Not used much besides us and kids on scooters. Needs a good cleanup.

This could be my boat if Wendy said yes.

I wanted to go but I got VETOED.

Love the Flintstones car

Very Tempting

15 people on the beach, a record. But I am sure it will get broken before we leave, many times over.

This is at the cat tile house, They replaced the head in the center with a cat (The triskelion)

Mid-afternoon, I walked to one of the bridges to get oranges for juice tomorrow. 9 for 1 euro. Quiet around town but I imagine it will be busy tonight..

Before supper we went to the grocery store that I had gone to by myself earlier in the week.  Ended up buying 3 bottle of wine and a few other things for about $20 Canadian.

Tour boat going to get park for the evening??? Son or Grandson at the wheel with a big smile

Colourful apartment buildings next to the grocery store

Nancy, we picked up some sandwich meat for you to make sandwiches.

Made chicken curry with the rest of the roasted chicken we got yesterday. Enjoyed a bottle of rose wine. Both were very good.

After supper, we went to get an gelato (pistachio) at the Duomo square. It's Friday and I deserve a treat, I have been a good boy all week.

  1. 3 bottles of wine for $20 Canadian sound better than 17 euros for one bottle. Wonder if the 17 was a typo.
