Off to Isla Mujures, Mexico for Joeys 50TH!!

Joey is turning 50 this year and was looking at doing something special. Wendy suggested a few places like Las Vegas, Hawaii etc...  but either she was not interested, bad time of the year or already been there. One place that had been on our bucket list for years was to go swimming with the whale sharks off Isla Mujures. So Wendy sold her on the idea and here we are.

Hold on to your hat, a tad windy on the top deck, but we won't get seasick!

Ferry boat similar to the one we took

Many colorful houses/buildings on the island

After checking in and doing groceries, we went and explored the town a bit and looking for a place to eat.

A nice sunset tonight.

Joey wanted Mexican for supper, so we found a very (not) fancy place for her 50th birthday. The food & drinks were great and the prices even better. A few margaritas were consumed.

In business for 20 years, good sign

great real Mexican traditional food

Happy Birthday

Not a fancy place but friendly staff and great food

Welcome to Mexico
