R&R Monday

For our walk this morning we went to pick up the car. We had parked a couple of blocks from the train station as there are a few free parking zones in the mainland part of town. Saved ourselves 10 Euro. Got the car and parked it in another free parking zone near the car rental place on the island side. Since it is Monday morning, there are a few free spots. As we get out of the car, the car rental agents is walking by, he does a quick check of the car and makes sure the tank is full of fuel. All is good. We tell him we will be by later to pick up our receipt as we are going to the market.

At the market we get a few bags of salad stuff, cheeses, bread, vegetables etc. Found a coffee mug for 1 euro which I had been looking for. Little espresso cups don't go far for me.

Return to the car agency to pick up the receipt and we make our way home.

Wendy forgot her phone this morning, so I am ahead of her by 4500 steps of so. She was finding it funny last week when I forgot my phone for the steps but she was not laughing today. Au contraire.

Found a place where they fix scooters

Got home had breakfast and realized that I forgot the GPS case in the rental car. We hope anyway. Back to Avis for the keys and it is on the floor. Wendy asked that I take her phone so that at least she gets some steps in before lunch. It is not very far, probably 1500 steps but she is happy.

For our lunch walk, we walk around the island. It is a beautiful day

Another walk once Wendy is done work as she is worried she will not get her 20,000 steps today. We did every pier there was. She even walked back and forth when I was stopping to take pictures. The light was beautiful tonight when we got to the sunset side of the island.

When we got home, Wendy was still short a couple of thousands steps, so I went in to make squash/pumpkin soup for supper that we got at the market this morning.  Also make a plate of cheese and meat to have beforehand.
