Capri sightseeing

16.500 steps, 68 floors according to FitBit, ouch

A great day in Capri. Started off by walking to the Tragara lookout to see the Fraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccolo, absolutely beautiful views again. To get to this lookout we go along a street with many many high end hotels and stores, we did not venture into either. Some of the stores are not yet open, some had signs see you in April. We are seeing lots of last minute construction and clean ups as we walk around town. It is busy enough for us, I can't imagine in season.

Then off to visit the Augusto Garden. Once again beautiful views. Original plan was to walk the Via Krupp similar to Lombard street in San Francisco, but unfortunately not open yet for the season. We then walked over to a monastery to visit what is now a museum, but passed on the entry fee. More money needed for wine and aperol spritz. We actually used the ticket machine, there were still available of the 4000 tickets for that day!!! I cannot even imagine.

Off for lunch at the Airbnb. First stop is at the grocery store which is finally open when we pass by. Picked up things for lunch and supper tonight. Lunch is on the patio with some delicious sandwiches, supper will be pasta later. We then walked down 200 meters to Marina Piccolo. Once again beautiful views. The surf is up, we thought about maybe doing a tour of Capri by boat, but no way would I have made it in those waves, I would be hanging overboard for sure. We have enjoyed some amazing views and lookouts the past couple of days, though I know that the boat tour of the island is supposed to be spectacular.

After the walk down our knees are all feeling it all those steps so we took the little bus back up. No line up from this bus stop, and it only goes every 30 minutes at this time of year. Horn is honked a couple of times around those hairpin turns to warn he is coming in the bus.

Back home for dinner and purchase tickets for ferry tomorrow. Off for another adventure.

Decided to take a different route to old town. Looked like this most of the way

A side view along the way up

The bus station and the size of buses. One type is about 5 feet longer or so.
