7900 steps which is probably the least amount we have done on this vacation so far.
Andre probably did an extra 3000 steps since I did not go with him on his walk at night.
Today
was a free walking tour of Bari, started in the rain, but turned into
an OK day.
Probably
the shortest walking tour we ever done 1.7 km and it took 2.5 hours.
We did a loop inside the wall of old town. There was about 25 of us,
which is not great on the small alleys. A guide was good and we got
lots of history about the old town.
We
decided to go to lunch at La Tana del Polpo which we had heard had
delicious squid ink pasta. We show up at the restaurant and ask for a
table for 2. The waiter said just wait a little bit then a waitress
escort us to a second location which is totally different that the
original old restaurant. It looks like it is only 1 year old and the
tables are so squished together. About 4 inches between them and abut
6 inches between the 2 rows that you can barely go by. They keep
running back and forth between the 2 restaurant (beer, water etc) as
they only have a tiny bar here.
There was no squid ink pasta on the
menu. We asked the waiter and he says we can do that. So off the go
running to the other restaurant which has it on the menu. Wendy had
the squid ink seafood pasta. About 3 shrimps, 8 clams that the meat
portion were the size of a dime and a small piece of fish for 25
euros. A little disappointing from what we would get at home. Mussels
are a big thing here too, but whenever we are away we are
disappointed getting 10 mussels for a crazy price in a restaurant, so
spoiled at home. Andre had octopus with olives which had a good
portion of octopus. Both pasta and sauce were delicious, just short
on seafood for Wendy but the squid ink pasta made up for it.
Aperol
Spritz and cannoli at our AIRBNB outside in the courtyard, and just a
lazy afternoon.
A
light snack for supper as we were still full from the late lunch.
Andre
went out around 9PM to take a few night time pictures
