Ushuaia - glaciers

We needed to be back on the ship by 2PM, this left us time for some beautiful scenery in daylight.  The highlight was visiting the 7 glaciers leaving Ushuaia going to Puento Arenas, Chile in the Darwin Ice Field of the Andes.  80% of South Americas glaciers are in Chile. This is the most beautiful scenery we have seen yet, amazing.  It is stunning, not rough waters as we are in little fjords along the coast.  With binoculars you could see some beautiful waterfalls and close ups of the glaciers. It was quite cold outside, amazing how few people were out on deck enjoying the spectacular scenery.  Many of the other guests are seasoned cruises who have been to Alaska cruising, it was interesting to hear the comparisons.

Yes, it was still windy!

The fjords were like paintings, stunning

Romanche (romance) Glacier, my favourite.  The other 6 glaciers we passed were all named after countries.

Aqua supper tonight, tonight we had a table with a view.  Unfortunately all the windows are really salty now after all our rough seas!
