We skipped on the jog this morning as my stomach was not
100% and we were just a bit tired from being so busy this weekend. Load of laundry early this morning. Then I worked on the blog for the last 3 days. Copying all my pictures, choosing the ones I
wanted to post, editing and exporting them as smaller images. Then writing 3 days of activity, which is a
challenge at times to remember what we did, saw and when. Took me a good part of the day to complete
with Wendy’s help, she is the official editor of the blog. She checks my Frenchman spelling and verbs
tenses and does story editing where needed, plus her own personal inputs once
in a while.
At lunch time, we walked to the supermarket and got a few basic
groceries. We got fish for supper
tonight and some salad stuff for lunch plus a couple more small things. Can’t buy too much more as we only have 8
more days here at the apartment. We are
leaving next Tuesday. We are not sure what we are doing this weekend. We booked at a hotel 2 hour south of here but
are now thinking of spending the weekend here as there is a small food fair
here this weekend in town. I think we
are both leaning towards staying here and maybe do a day trip Saturday or
Sunday. We will have a busy week next
week.
I watched some of the videos from the masters this
afternoon. Wished I could have stayed up
last night to watch it all, but was way too tired. It must have been a fun one to watch live. I bet Lucille is happy that Adam Scott won.
After Wendy was done work, we walked to the beach area across
the street from our apartment. The wind was off the water so it was not as nice
as it was at lunch time. In the late
afternoon, often it gets cloudy here, which was the case today. We found a spot that the locals had cut
stones in the rocky part of the beach. It
was a bit sheltered from the wind. They used the cut stones to build houses. I
am guessing either the government stopped them or it was too much work as they
do not do this anymore. All along the
shore, you can see the evidence of this past practice. The stones are called Tosca. There is a restaurant in town called
that. It was recommended by the
apartment owners but I am not sure if we will get there. It is also a bit pricy (not) about $50.00
Canadian for a 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine including taxes. We
stayed on the beach for about 1 hour (1 beer) and then headed home.

Must make a big swimming pool after a storm, not sure if the water stays or not. |
Posted the blogs, which takes a bit of time when there is a
lot of pictures. I guess we did and saw
too much this weekend. Tomorrow’s blog
will be much shorter and quicker to post.
We played cribbage and crazy 8 on the patio. The patio has 2 pull down steel shutters. We pulled one down and that cut the
wind. It was very nice and we stayed
there for about 1 hour. Late supper and
off to bed.
