Time for some short Hikes

No big plans for the day, just a relaxing morning after a fun and busy weekend.  Started a load of laundry before going for our job/walk and hung it when we got back.  My back is feeling much better not 100% but it is coming along very nicely as was able to jog when Wendy was jogging.  We did a quick run to the port area this morning.  Some of the fishing boats were coming in from their trips.  No camera today but will take one tomorrow morning if we go that way again.  It is a good way to run in the morning as it is about 4 km.  This morning it was around 12-13 degrees which is good as far as I am concerned for jogging.  Forecast for the afternoon to be around low 20s.

After we finished breakfast, worked on my blog and sorted some of my pictures from the weekend.   During Wendy’s lunch break, we walked to do groceries as we were out of wine and needed to get something for tonight.  I forgot to buy some of that delicious ice cream.  This may force me to go for another walk later today.

Wendy finished her day of work and we decided to go for a walk/hike that starts about 5km from our apartment.  We decided to drive there not knowing what kind of a hike was in front of us.  Our friend the GPS again gave us a roundabout way, but we did eventually get to the starting point.  There were actually 2 different trails that start here, one for the cliffs, and one for the beach.  We started with the cliff walk, Cap Prim.  It was about 1km each way, not too difficult, Wendy was very happy that there were no chains that needed to be grasped for safety.  Only saw a few people on the trial, but it was about 6:30 PM now.  Again, the walking trails here are excellently marked, it was simple to follow.  The views at the end of the trail were very pretty, a nice view back looking towards the town of Javea, and the rock cliffs surrounding.  We did meet a man out running with his dog on the trails, this guy was definitely a full time athlete, and his dog was certainly having lots of fun running with him.  He ran past us on the way out, then he ran past us again on the way back, only this time he ran off the trail to give us trail space, he was running downhill like nothing was in his way, and the dog right behind him.

We got back to the beginning of the trial and decided to do the second trail, Cala Barraca,  as it was less than 1km to the beach.  Remember that we are up on a cliff at this point, and that 1km must be walked back up again, more stairs, more uphill.  This trail led to a rocky beach, there were 2 fisherman on shore fishing.  On the way back up the trail we ventured off the main trail to see another lookout at the end of the cliff, Wendy did not enjoy walking anywhere near the cliff side, she used the trail map to shield the view while walking.

If you don't look there is no cliff beside you, if you can't see it it is not there!

Stopped to pick up some more heavy stuff at a different grocery store for supper.  Decided to buy a few bottles of wine since we have the car, as well as some water for drinking.  I also pick up the free  April guide to Casas & Villas.  Maybe I will find a sweet deal.  Supper done at 9:45 pm, will pass on another walk tonight.  Finishing writing up the blog with a glass of wine so more time for exploring tomorrow. The car now needs some diesel.  We did around 900 km on this tank, so we are due.  A boot sale on tomorrow here, we will probably go check that out on Wendy’s lunch if I am around.

This was parked at the grocery store beside us, how cute is this!  Could Gilles and John do this??
