Copenhagen Dennark Boat tour

Breakfast in the dining room and we are sat beside a couple from France that are just starting their cruise. We give them some tips on what we did over the last week, we are a little jealous they are just starting.

We decide to leave the cruise at about 10 even though we can't get into our Airbnb until 4. Airbnb sent us a link to where we can store our luggage near our apartment for not too expensive of a price, so decide to go start exploring Copenhagen rather than hang out on the ship any more. First crazy part is paying for the bus. There is a line up that is moving very slowly for the bus. We find out they take cash only, but the bus ticket also covers the metro pass. Very lucky that I had thrown in some Euros from home as it was 4 Euro each cash only to take the bus/metro. Absolutely crazy, no wonder the line was moving so slowly. Some like us were paying our own way with luggage, others were just touring Copenhagen on their own as they go on the ship yesterday in Kiel.

Dropped off our luggage and it is a beautiful day, we do lots of walking all over Copenhagen. There are lots and lots of canals with beautiful reflections of the colorful buildings in the water. We decide to do a canal tour which was a lot of fun. We just happened on this little business at the end of one of the canals that only takes 12 people in a boat, it was perfect. We saw huge boats just packed with people, it is Sunday and a beautiful day so everyone is out and about.

Lots more walking around. We went to visit the little mermaid, I had read so much about how disappointing this is that is was actually a pleasant surprise. I didn't see her at first, but then I saw the crowd and looked around and saw her. She really isn't very big. She is holding flowers today, no idea why and I guess this is unusual, but better than we she has had her head or her hands removed I guess. We also did a little walk around the fortress but we are starting to get tired. Maybe we will be back here again in the next couple of day.

It is finally after 4 so we pick up our luggage and find the Airbnb right around the corner. Easy to find, but 40 steps up to our little apartment. The bedroom is up a little staircase that I don't care to use so I'm sleeping on a little futon thing in the living room, same floor as the bathroom as well :) I message the company we are renting from because we can't figure out how to use the stovetop, well we couldn't figure it out because there isn't one! There is an oven but no stove, strangest thing ever. Lots of pots and pans, they told us we could use any of them in the oven lol. It is nice to be able to spread out a little more, it is small, but huge compared to our cruise cabin.

We found a grocery store close by, Ramen noodles for supper that you just pour water over, they were terrible. Picked up things for breakfast tomorrow as well, will not be frying any eggs this stay.
