Woke
up around 7AM this morning, dressed quickly and went up top as we
were in the fjords. It was still a little bit dark out but amazing
already. It is so narrow, so many waterfalls, and huge high cliffs
around the fjords.
Our first stop was in Hellesyt which you could
only get off if you booked a shore excursion with the ship, we were
only stopped here about 30 minutes.
Next we went on for a couple
more hours to Geiranger which we had the day from noon until 9PM to
explore. Both of these towns only had populations of around 200
people but they were ready and waiting for around 5,000 people to get
off the ship. We wondered how we would be greeted, but everyone was
very friendly.
We booked a bus tour on our own which was about 3.5
hours. We visited the highest fjord viewpoint in Europe that you can
access by road which as beautiful, Daisnibba. We also went up Eagle
Road full of hairpin turns to see some waterfalls. These roads are
very very narrow, when 2 buses meet it is a very tight squeeze.
We
did 4 stops in total for viewing, just the drive itself was
beautiful. I was lucky to be able to change this tour from a 4:30PM
start to a 12:30PM start, we would have never been back before dark
if we left at 4:30PM.
Back
to the ship for a quick break then we are out again to do a walk that
takes you along a waterfall then a loop back to town via a church,
very very pretty. We have had a great day, even a little sun peaking
out for a bit.
Supper
tonight only the Portuguese couple show up. They rented these crazy
little 2 seater cars, 2 seater being a driver in front, and the
passenger sits behind them. She said it was a little scary driving
but they had a fun day too.
Will
see how Wendy does at the show tonight, it is a circus show, could be
good or bad.

| Floor plan by the elevator, Very useful on such a big ship. The elevators are in banks of 6, you push the button for which floor you want to go to and it tells you what elevator you should go to. Yuu can't select a floor once you get in the elevator, very cool |
