Sadly a few empty platters this morning. The bike tour of 10 people left early this morning and I guess they needed the calories to bike 100km more than we did for another lazy day.
Yesterday we asked if we could do another snorkel tour today and were told let's wait and see what the wind is like. We find out yes we can go and it will be 10minutes away. Since it is so close get all ready and we are off. Another loss in translation day, it is 10 minutes from where we went yesterday, so 1 hour away by boat. Another pretty boat ride, it is nearly like you are in fjords here, the mountains are so close. It was an absolutely fantastic snorkel. So many beautiful colors of live coral and lots of nice fish, some we had never seen before. We were the only 2 on the tour today, we could have stayed as long as we wanted, about an hour in and we were done. We had two drivers on the boat today, maybe one was training? Pretty easy work morning for them.
Back to the hotel, reading and napping on the beach time. Broke this up by a snorkel tour from shore in the afternoon.
Introduced the bartender to mango shakes with rum added, he did a good job. Fresh mango, can never have enough.
Excitement at supper tonight. There is a table of 2 families of Vietnamese that the kids are getting very excited and parents get their phones out for pictures, they are aiming at the roof of the palapa. Andre goes to inspect, I don't want to know. Manager comes out with a net, I guess bat? No, a snake! Gecko in our bathroom today was OK, not sure about a snake.
Enjoying just sitting in the bar area finished the hard cover book, wonder how long it will be here before the next person picks it up.
Will miss the peaceful evenings sitting outside, leaving windows open at night, sleeping under a mosquito net (they keep snakes out too I hope), and most of all the snorkeling. But excited as well for our next adventures.
