Da Lat Secret Tour

Wake up early. Have the donut bread things we bought in the market last night, yummy.

I know what's coming next, let's go find coffee and go for a walk. Tour isn't starting until 10am, so figure we will get most of our steps in before tour even starts, urgh.

Stopped at the coffee shop at the end of our street, we still don't know what we are supposed to order, today was really strong. A special needs man has a great chat with us, his English is fantastic,  we have a new friend.

We saw a pagoda lit up near our hotel last night, let's go find that. What a great start, an absolutely beautiful garden. Chua tam an I think was the name. The doors were closed this early, will try to go in another time.

Walked down to the lake. Horse carriages waiting for customers, one family already out on a swan.

Took a new street back to our hotel, super find, some absolutely gorgeous photography lining the street. We think there is also an exhibit at the back of the street, we will need to go explore there again as well.  Afraid already that we haven't allocated enough time to this city.

Doing Mr Rots secret tour next. No idea what we are doing but I read on trip advisor that it was someone's favorite thing they did on their trip. Sometimes the fun is not knowing what is coming up. It is also fun not doing all the planning.

Haven't mentioned yet the cooler weather. A very nice break from the heat we have had since we got here. No air conditioning needed at night, even wore a long sleeve t-shirt last night.

Our new friend from the coffee shop meets up with us again coming down our street. We continue on with our chat, my love is now this wonderful man , I have dumped the lady on the Mekong delta. I am not being faithful too long with my love this trip.

Mr Rots secret tour, nothing but fabulous.  There were 2 other couples with us on the tour from France, Andre spent much of his day doing translations.   The tour begins probably like most tours from Da Lat, yes we both tried crickets, visited a market  silk worms, waterfall etc, but then the special secret part starts, and we are all sworn to secrecy.  If you are interested learning about Vietnamese culture we can't recommend enough.   Who knew Ma meant 6 different things depending on how it is pronounced. You are fed well, and we laughed until we cried. If you are in Da Lat just do it, definitely one of the highlights of our trip so far.

We left at 10am this morning, back at 7pm tonight. Quick run up the stairs for Andre to our room to get money to pay for the tour when we get back, totally forgot about that this morning.

Forgot to mention the 2 French couples took the night sleeper bus from Mekong delta to Da lat. On our trip today they was ooooh and aaaah as we were passing other vehicles. There is no way he saw what those sleeper busses do.

Great  sushi for supper around the corner , so many interesting places within a 10 minute walk to eat.

Stock up on more water,  when they say free water on your reservation they mean 2 small bottles, even in the swanky place we were at in Mui Ne.
