No roosters or women with speakers selling whatever, so just the fishing boats going to work as wake up call at 4am. Managed to go back to sleep thank goodness.
Nice breakfast, all platters are full. Back to buffet breakfast. One fruit we did not know.
Lots of beautiful coral and many fish species, some we had not seen before
Snorkel tour booked for 9am.it is a little cloudy and the wind has picked up a little. The boat ride was about 45 minutes, we don't think we went as far as normal, it is really choppy seas. We are anchored in a little rocky cove. Lots of nice live coral and little fish. It was a great snorkel. We think it is normally a 2 stop snorkel but he did want to go further with the choppy seas. There was just one other couple on the boat with us. On the way back to the resort we see why the pretty much constant boat traffic in front of the resort, we easily saw 1000 little fish farms or fishing villages. Our boat driver brought us back slowly through the floating villages, Andre did not envy these fisherman's lives.
Received an email from Vietnam Air yesterday that flight changes only gave us 1.5 hours in Hanoi to connect to our flight to Cambodia in a couple of weeks. 2 hours is required, they suggested another flight that was 2 hours connection, why they did not automatically change us who knows. Sorted by email, I hope 2 hours is fine.
A lazy afternoon on the beach. Someone had left a 450 page hard cover John Grisham book at our last hotel that I have put a good dent into. It will be left behind here. No pagodas, museums, temples or anything else that needs to be checked off the list, except time for a nap.
Another snorkel in front of the hotel this afternoon. We see many more fish than we did yesterday. We may do another snorkel by boat tomorrow, will decide in the morning if there is no wind. We still have more to explore in front if the your does not happen.
We get off the beach to get ready for dinner just as the Vietnamese guests come out from hiding and hit the beach. Their laughter is contagious, there is a group of 4 ladies in double kayaks racing each other. They are having so much fun.
Great dinner again tonight. It is a set menu, no choices, they just keep bringing you out more and more food.
