This morning Jacinthe, Lisa and I
headed to see the display of flowers. We got there before they
opened, so we explored the buildings around the block that surround
the Majorada Park. We checked out the Church and a building that was
open to the public. We then looked at the flowers from the elevated
platform that you walk on. This years theme focuses on animals. This city has so much architecture to look at. From run down houses to grand mansions.
Once in a while you see some very old car. This one just outside our casa. |
Before they open at 9, nobody on the raised platform |
The place we also visited |
Mango tree in the center where ripe ones were on the ground |
Day care |
Used to be a cinema but is now a parking lot |
We then proceeded to walk to the main
square where we checked out the Cathedral.
It was time for a break. There a small restaurant on the second floor in one of the buildings that looks out onto the square. It was not 11AM yet so we were not allowed to have liquor, so no mango margaritas for these 3 and we had to settle for ice cream.
After a short break, we went and explored the museum that had the photo exhibit.
I told her I liked her purse |
Jacinthe picked up a souvenir for somebody |

A sort trip to the main market to pick
up a few things for the house and we took a cab home as everyone was
tired and hot at this point.
I made peppers rellano stufed with
cheese with a green salsa. Need I say Yummmmy.
Tonight we went to see the light and
sound show at the main square. I was projected on the Cathedral and
it was fantastic.
