Cloondara to Abbeyshrule

Back to our B&B to wait for pickup and spent time watching cute kittens in the back yard playing in the trees.

Bikes and us picked up and we are dropped at where we started the other day to Cloondara  with a 30 km bike ride for us today to Abbeyshire.  It is an absolutely beautiful day.  So much different terrain we bike over, old caring roads, some pavement, some crushed stone.  Some pretty scenery, up and over many many bridges, a fun beautiful day.  No hills today as we are following the canal

Post where they tied up the barges

Where we were 2 days ago when we bike from Longford
long fishing pole

Lunch was muffins, scone and ice cream

Blue heron, did not see many birds

Arrive at our B&B in Abbeyshire, a beautiful 200 year old home that has been restored by the family that is living in it.  A beautiful bedroom, and gorgeous bathroom.

Walked to visit the the cemetery

Love the sit and chat bench

Visited the Abbey as well, mostly roped off but you could visit around the outside with the cows.

There is one hotel in town serving food so off we go for supper.  Lots of people are dressed up, we think maybe coming from Church?  Dinner was OK, it was really busy so we did not have the best experience.

Back to the B&B, a kids dream home. It is a farm with the 2 older girls riding a pony and jumping over a stick.  The other 2 kids are in the paddock as well, running all over the place.  A beautiful spot.

We had arranged the next morning to just do a short bike ride and get picked up and taken to our next stop as terrible weather is coming on.  Off to sleep in the most comfortable bed of our trip.
