After breakfast this morning we take a taxi to the town of
West Bay, somewhere we haven’t visited yet.
This is a beach that you dream and see in marketing pictures. Gorgeous white sand and amazing colours in
the water.

Another nap! Earle blood in this kid for sure |
We walked to the very end of the beach and left our stuff
against a wall and did some amazing snorkeling.
You only have to go out a couple of feet here to see fish, so lots of
beginners around, but if you go out further you will find some beautiful
unspoiled coral, and lots of fish. There
were actually diving boats out there with us.
We spent a long time out there just enjoying. Another family from our B&B were also on
the beach right next to us. Their kids
were a few years younger than Liam, so they were kept busy all the time with
what to do next, reminded me of travelling with Riley. This family is also from New York, we
exchanged some travel stories, and they are from New York so hoping for some
help with an itinerary for one day while we are there in the fall.

Lunch today was at Omars.
This is really a local place a little off the main drag. It was really good. We all had fried fish, a whole fried fish
each, and amazing plantains. Each meal
was $10, we were definitely the minority there.

Lunch, yummy!! |
After lunch we had a drink at one of the many bars along the
waterfront. From here we caught a water
taxi back to West End. Water taxi takes
about 5 minutes, and saves a lot of winding roads and potholes in a road taxi. From West End we
caught a taxi back to Sandy Bay and our B&B.

Another fun day to be away
from Puerta Azul, there were no cruise ships in port again today, so hardly any
people around at all. The rest of our
stay there are multiple cruise ships in port, so our plan is to stay around our
hotel probably for the rest of our stay.
Tonight we went out on the dock to watch the sunset. Met up with the family again from New York
out there, fun talking to them.
