Another beautiful walk on the beach this morning.
Today right after breakfast we headed straight out for a
snorkel. It has been very windy here for
the last few days, especially in the afternoon.
It was an amazing snorkel this morning, like we were in a dream.
Back to our casita and got changed to walk to the botanical
gardens. This was a nice change today,
but oh so hot. We had walked to St.
Anthonys before, and this was just a little past. We walked the beach and up to stairs to the
front desk of St. Anthonys, only to find out that you can’t exit here, back
down to the beach and along the road.
Didn’t need those extra stairs.
Got to the Botanical Garden, we said if there were lots of
tour busses there we were turning around.
No tour busses, find out that they visit there in the morning, and there
is only one other couple somewhere in the gardens, which we never did see. There is a short circular path to see the
bottom section of the gardens, then a fairly steep uphill climb that is best
not done in flipflops unless you are 16 to a pretty lookout. Back to the bottom and there are 2 workers
preparing little samples of pure chocolate for the tour busses tomorrow, they
were nice and let us try some. Liam has
been our tour guide up to now, so it is nice to see some real workers. Our tour guide Liam threw a lot of stones
around, and didn’t give us much valid information on the trees and plants, no
tip for him.

Walked back along the beach and stopped at Jolly Octopus for
some delicious lunch and perhaps the best mango margaritas ever. We talked the waiter into making them for us,
they were amazing.
Back to Puerta Azul and it is approaching sunset. Andre and Liam went to the casita to make us
drinks to have on the dock and watch the sunset. We really haven’t had amazing sunsets
here. The family from New York are back
from fishing, they had much better luck than Andre and Liam earlier in the
week, they are having fish for supper tonight.
But they did put 7 hours in on the boat, which I don’t think either
Andre or Liam would have survived.
