Half Moon Bay Beach Antigua

Today we decided to spend the day at Half Moon Bay Beach. A 25 minutes drive (16KMS). On the way back we took the longer way 35 minutes (20 KMS) as there was a very steep bumpy dirt hill that Wendy did not want to go up that we had come down.  A good choice.

Did not see many abandoned places during our stay

Typical narrow roads and driving on the left side

A few cows on the side of the road on the way there

We rented beach chairs and an umbrella as there was not shade here.  The man renting them said he would get drinks and food for us if we wanted from Beach Bum Bar & Cafe.  The prices were more reasonable than yesterdays. We parked ourselves on the far left side as he told us it was best for snorkeling. Once again it was not the greatest we had. I guess we have been spoiled with Curacao and Roatan.

Another beautiful beach with beautiful sand

Half Moon Bay, another quiet beach.  We walked down past the umbrellas where it was not so much surf.

Pretty much the weather we had for our 2 weeks here. 28 or 29 during the day, 2 degrees colder at night. Scattered showers at times but for only short times.  Only once it rained for a long time.

Andre went for a walk/hike around the left corner of the beach to explore the area, while Wendy and Joey stayed under the shade.

View of the left side of the beach from where we parked the car.. We were at the far end for the day

Stopped at a lookout at a hilltop on the way back. Another beautiful bay but no way to get to it. The water colour is beautiful

2 churches that we drove by on the way home, every day...

Stopped at Sweet-Ts on the way home for burgers. Andre had a cold beer, Joey and Wendy had Sorrel water.  They even ordered some to take home to have as a mixer for later. The prices was very reasonable.

Chicken burger

Ice Cream, yummm.

Stopped to get a bag of ice and snacks at the small grocery store next door to Sweet-Ts.
They even had sardines from NB and for 2.30 Canadian per tin. One place had smoked fish as well from Cap Pele.
