After the morning shower, we decided to go a new way on Antigua. The first part of the drive took us on Fig Tree Road which went over the mountains and then down to the water. The island is so green.
We stopped at a number of beaches along the way until our last stop at Ffryes Beach. Without stops it's a 40 minutes 23 kms drive.

Many fruit stands along the way here. We stopped on the way back and got a few things. |

Not a thing we want to do in the Caribbean |

Love the mountain views on the drive |
Our first beach stop Carlisle Bay Beach. Nobody there but no shade and no umbrella for rent. no facilities either. There a resort at the far right side at $1000 a night.
Talked to a local for a while. People are so friendly. His buddy came to clean a few fish while we were there. Picked up a couple pieces of sea glass while we were there.
A few stops along the way to check out some beaches. So many of them, They say the island has 365 beaches, one for every day of the year. I believe it.
Stopped at Urlings to see if there was a fish market that we could get some fish on the way back. I guess you had to buy directly from the fishermen

got lucky and the first shower only hit us a bit. We left around 3PM when we could see a larger shower was coming
A staff party was going on with local food and a DJ. Andre was tempted to ask if there was any leftovers
A small beach bar at the right side of the beach
