No internet since yesterday afternoon at the hotel, so after breakfast head over to a coffee shop to get caught up and hopefully confirm in time our Hanoi Kids tour for tomorrow.
On the walk over stepped on a loose brick 'something' squirted up my leg, urgh shower number 2 needed. This is not the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last I am sure.
Andre has decided to go visit the market down the street from hotel. I am staying behind in air conditioning, shower from knees down completed, packing up done again. So looking forward to getting out of this heat and moving on to Hanoi.
Andre returned from the market soaked in sweat, very excited at what he saw, I am so glad I stayed behind. He saw chickens coming in live, killed, feathers plucked , then poached. Doesn't get much fresher than that. This market was only 2 blocks from our hotel, all local market, 3 levels at least, he was shocked how big it was. Glad he only discovered it today.

Off to the airport with ride arranged by hotel. We didn't get a Sim card here and couldn't rely on internet for Grab. Ride took about 45 minutes, busy because of people leaving the city for the holiday coming up this weekend. It is going to be a really long transfer when they finish the new airport in a couple of years.
Decided to check our carry on luggage again. Just a pain to lug around airports, and from what we have experienced so far luggage comes out quick, I guess they have people wanting to work unlike home.
Flight is to SGN then on to Hanoi. SGN is no relief from the heat. Happy that our second Visas worked fine, we arrived one day later than our Visa , and I had applied for 2 Visas at the same time . One poor man in Phnom Penh I think did not have a visa , or had issues with his visa. I didn't see him board the plane, poor man, flights are really booked because of the holiday. Our Visas were looked over carefully when we checked in today, when we checked in in Canada we were never even asked if we had Visas.
A meal is served on board to Hanoi, I passed as we ate Popeyes in SGN Airport. Who would have thought the first time we would have Popeyes is in SGN.
Checked luggage already on carousel by the time we got the bus to terminal and walked to exit. Total wasted time waiting for luggage 1 minute, we missed it going around the carousel the first time.
Checked into hotel around 9:30, will leave exploring for tomorrow. Our room has a window, to the hall! We are supposed to stay in this hotel 2 more times passing through and at the end of our trip, they told us at check in we will have a better room next time , wondered how bad it was going to be this time.
Notice that they have a 4th floor when we get on the elevator. No 4th floor in Cambodia, must research why, but maybe we are glad we are on the 3rd floor and not the 4th.
Unpack, yes not living out of suitcase this stop. Need to examine more closely what really needs to hit the laundry tomorrow or the next day. Really looking forward to tomorrow and exploring.
