Merry Christmas!
Today definitely does not feel like Christmas.
Happy to get off the ship today. We have booked a small group tour to visit Tierra Del Fuego National Park and do 5 short hikes. It was very pretty, beautiful and nice to walk around mountains instead of circles around a ships running track! Not the best/hike we have ever done, but we did enjoy being on land for a day again.
Along the Beagle Channel |
Pilot boat |
Long pier to walk out |
Cool mushrooms. The guide called them "Native Bread" |
Cool trees |
Falkland Islands belong to Argentina if you are in Argentina, (Malvinas in Argentina) |
End of the road, this is as far as we can go |
Lots of signs of beavers. They brought 20 pairs here years ago, they took over and they are now being culled, they are not native to Argentina |
End of the world post office |
Train to the end of the world, optional tour from the ship $$$ |
Last walk was to the "falls" even the guide made fun of them calling these falls |
Looks like home in the spring! |
Ship beside us had retractable roof, would have been nice to have on our ship! |
