For our first visit we are going to the Brazil side of the falls. We didn't want to deal with crossing the border in taxi, so booked with a company that looked after everything for us. We were picked up at our hotel, handed over our passports for them to process paper work and off we went.
Largest bill is worth approx $3.00, you carry a lot of bills around
Andre deciding where to hide the safe in our hotel apartment, we went upstairs to get the safe and move it downstairs lol.
Crossing the border into Brazil
You take a bus to the start of the walk to the falls
Our first view of the falls, simply amazing. Pictures do not do it justice. It is like seeing Niagara falls many times over and over and over beside itself. The guide just lets you go at this point on your own, it is about 1.5 km walk along a path to the end meeting point. Many viewpoints along the way and plenty of time to enjoy.
You can see people walking above the falls on the Argentian side, we will be there tomorrow
Boat tours are available, you get soaking wet. We passed, but it was so incredibly hot we could have used a little soaking.
Brazil side where you walk out, and this is our opportunity to get a little wet and cool off
End of the walk, you get very close to this falls at this point, mist feels great!
Of course an ice cream snack at the end

At this point our tour splits up as some of us are visiting the bird park, Aves (Bird park). We are dropped off at the entrance to the bird park and given a time that a shuttle will pick us up to take us back to Argentina. This park is like a reserve more than a zoo. Most of the birds are being rehabilitated or being bred to release into the wild in hopes of increasing the population. It was a beautiful park and a great way to spend the afternoon, very few people around.
Lunch is our first priority when we get inside the park. A very nice quiet place to eat lunch, and not outrageously prices for a park
Supper tonight is at a sandwich shop right outside our hotel. We are really tired after a long day of touring and decided not to walk into town, the sandwiches were huge, way too much food and a little disappointing. Everyone gets a placemat and crayons to color while waiting for their meal.
