Happy to be getting of the off the ship again. Today we decided to book a tour with the ship as we have very little time in port. It is a tender port again, but since we have a tour booked with the ship we don't need to line up to get a ticket to get off the ship. We are so happy we are on a ship tour today because one of the ships tender boats broke down, so only 4 boats running to get 2000 people to shore, those with ship tours got priority to get on a tendor. When you book a ship tour they also guarantee the ship will wait for you if you are late returning to port. Like all tours we take the locals want to show us the best of everything in their towns and there is never enough time, it was a busy day.
We are lucky today, it is absolutely a beautiful sunny day, and we will have lots of great views of volcanos we hope. Chile is a country of earthquakes and volcanos.

Our first stop at a viewing point on the highway. Osorno Volcano, a ski hill as well. Last erupted 100 years ago |
|
Petrohue Waterfalls. Lots of visitors here when a ship is in port. Great views of the volcanos in the back |
Next stop is Puerto Varas, the city of roses. A nice beach, but the water is very cold. We had lunch in this town

Of course Andre found ice cream |

yummy pisco sour |
Next stop was Frutillar to see a recreation of a German village. This town also had an amazing theatre. If we were to return to Chile today included a couple of villages that would have been fun to spend more time in.

Theatre in town, they are famous for this theatre |

We got back to the ship at the same time as they said the last tendors were leaving. Needless to say we were very late leaving this port, huge lineups. I think everyone came back at the last minute |
