Caving Actun Tunichil Muknal

Walked downtown and had breakfast, same as yesterday, I do not think Eddy would
eat here but for $3.00 it sure is good.  Tons of people there this morning.
Walk back to the hotel.

We are off to visit Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave)  today.

We are leaving at 10AM.  It is about 1 hour drive to the cave.
We then walked about 45 minutes in the jungle to get to the caves.
We were inside the caves for about 4 hours. We were giving
helmets and headlamps.  We first had to swim about 100 feet to get to a spot
where we started walking in the water.

We walked about 45 minutes to where it
finally dry. We were climbing over rocks, going thru crevices. The last part was
the most amazing.  They had some pottery and skeleton remains from the Mayan
times.  What a neat experience.  Returned at the hotel at 8PM.

The guides recommended a Mexican restaurant so we have 15 minutes to get ready
as we have to drive there.  We get there and it is not open but we find another
spot to eat.  It is a traditional Belize food.  I ordered pork that was cooked
in the ground.  I do not think it was cooked today but reheated.  Either was it
was very good.. Had a couple of beers and finished the little bit of Tequila
with some of my new friends. The next 3 days we will be canoeing
on one of the Belize. rivers.
