Neat trees along the NS Highway |
We decided to stop and do a hike in Truro NS at Victoria Park. I had seen that there was nice hiking trails and waterfalls there. We spent around 90 minutes there. Very nice indeed.
|
2 sets of stairs for the waterfalls. A good test for the knees. |
|
don't give up, you are half way there |
|
Many old trees and nice trails surface |
|
Partial view of Truro. Downtown is more to the left |
We then headed downtown and explore the old homes. So many of them, just a few pictures of the many we saw. So many styles as well.

For the kid or the dog or both???? |

Could be for the Adams family |
Time for lunch, hoping to find something open and good, hopefully we don't have to do McDonald. We found an English Pub and it was great.

Day 2.
We are off for a hike that we wanted to do for a while now called Cape Split. It is 6 KM to get to the end and the same coming back for 12KM
|
Nice trail surface |
After 6KM we made it to the end. Beautiful even with the grey skies and the wind blowing.
|
Our tour guides for the hike and Wendy |
|
Some people scramble down to the beach. Maybe if I was 19 again and single. |
|
The little red dot is somebody who made it down |
A return trail is being worked on but not completed. We decided to try it as it looked in good shape but half way it became muddy and not completed. I guess we should have return on the good trail.

Love the handwritten sign warning other drivers |
