Quick visit to the Vietnam Embassy to try to get VISAS this morning. They wanted over $200 per person to do it on the spot, we will pass and look after it on the ship.
There are approx. 20 people in our hotel that are picked up by bus to go to the cruise ship. There is hardly anyone dropping off luggage, but then we find the wait for us to be called to fill in paperwork. We needed to fill in forms about whether we had been to Hong Kong, China, or Taipai. There were also camera things taking our temperature before we were allowed to board. We pass everything so we are off. We asked about upgrading to a balcony, told it was sold out. We know this is not true, lots of people have cancelled because of the coronavirus, we will try again once on board. We also found out last night that we will no longer finish the cruise in Hong Kong, we will be returning to Singapore, as Hong Kong has closed its port for cruises. Because of this we will also be missing Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, we are extremely sad, this was what we wanted to see the most, plus we planned on seeing Nicole and giving her the suitcase we had brought her from Canada.

Lots of live entertainment on board, we were really impressed. Heard that there were only 1700 people on board, just over half full, never had a problem finding a seat at a show or in the dining rooms, we were spoiled that way |
