Today we have decided to do some beach/snorkel hopping. This side of the island has the best beaches, and we will visit a couple of them today. A car is really needed here, with 30 minutes drive you have a number of beaches to choose from. Most of the beaches are set in beautiful small coves. Not beautiful white Caribbean sandy beaches, but gorgeous coves most surrounded by green mountains that are very lush because rainy season has just finished.

Klein Knip beach, umbrellas/chairs will be for rent later when workers show up, we are early. |
|
Yes, the water really is this colour, and warm! |
|
These trees seem to be everywhere, and marked as poisonous fruit |

Small food/drink stand sets up |
At Klein Knip we went snorkeling to the left.

A short drive (2 minutes) to see what Grote Klein in case we decide to come back later in the week.

A much bigger cove at Grote Klein- hence the name! We just stopped for a photo op. Someone on the Curacao Facebook group told us that there was no parking fees here. |

Many more amenities and therefore people here |
Short drive to Cas Abao beach where we knew there was a restaurant on the beach and we would grab some lunch and snorkel some more . There is an entrance fee here, $7.00US for the car full.
|
A big beach here, Nancy did rent a chair $3 I think, the rest of us barely sat down on any of the beaches, we spent all our time in the water |
|
A little rocky getting into the water here, we saw some people struggling, beach shoes really help |
You can bring your own coolers to the beaches here. A huge group of military from the base showed up as we were getting ready to leave, they had lots of coolers filled with beer. Think the coke drinker was the DD?
Another snorkel, on the left side again as it was recommended by the folks at the dive shop.
