Enniskerry to Dublin by bus

We are picked up this morning and taken to the bus stop to catch the bus to Dublin.  It is raining outside, we think of all the people just starting their walk today, it will not be nice.  They will have so many steps to go down today from Enniskerry, it will be nasty and slippery. We were very lucky to have such beautiful weather for our walk, would have been very nasty starting today.

The Dutch father/son did not have any change for the bus, between the Canadian sisters and us we found the correct change for them, they were a little shocked that we paid for them, good Canadians we are.  It was a 1 hour double decker bus ride for 2.60 Euro per person.

We have rented an Airbnb for 3 nights in Dublin.  You pick up the key at a totally different spot than the apartment which took us a bit to find.  Apartment is not ready but we are able to leave our luggage and go exploring in Dublin.

It is really raining out, time to move on

Bus to Dublin

So so happy we are not walking today

Bye to the Canadian sisters

Rainy parade today

We have lunch at a Church that has been converted into a restaurant.  We spent most of the day exploring the North side of the river.  Found a little pub for a break in the afternoon.

I could have used a huge pot of tea, it is not nice out!

Break time at this cute pub

Picked up our bags and a longish walk to get to our apartment on the South side, especially since it has started raining a bit.  Nearly a 1 hour walk.  It is a very nice apartment, 2 bedrooms 2 baths as Susan and Roger were supposed to be with us.  We are overlooking the Royal Canal.  Figure out how to use the washing machine/dryer combination, do these ever dry clothes?  Laundry is hung everywhere in the apartment to get it dry.

There are a couple of shops right by our apartment, we pick up thing for breakfast and burrito bowls to bring in for supper.

Pub around the corner from our apartment

Rain stops after supper so we walk around the apartment area for about an hour.  Walked over to where Riverdance is being held to try to return tickets for Susan and Roger, but the boxoffice is closed.

Took Grafton street to look at all the bridges, so many bridges to choose from to cross to get home.
