St George Bermuda

A much nicer day today to go to St George.  NCL is providing a free shuttle to St George, first come first serve, 9AM departure and only one shuttle going.  We get there crazy early, that is just us, and get great seats up top to see the craziness of those that don't make the shuttle.

THe other NCL ship in port with us, we are the back one, looks like a little tug boat beside this huge ship

The shuttle is full, this is the poor man stopping people once full.  He had so much patience.  I did feel for the people that had half of their group make it on the shuttle ferry boat.  It provided us with entertainment, but also embarrassed us how he was treated at the same time.

Nice views from the ferry, St Goerge is on the other side of the Island from where we were docked, about a 45 minute ferry ride.

Ferry boat to St George
The Ferry left at around 2PM to return to the cruise ship, we had a great time exploring St George, so much better than Hamilton.  Lots of buildings had plaques with their history to read.

The unfinished Church

Walked by a golf course on our walk to a beach

One thing we don't have to deal with at home, chickens and roosters on the course

Amazing roofs on so many buildings

Tobaco Beach, about a 30 minute walk from the town of St George

No snorkeling this trip, but we did see a parrot fish from shore

Entertainment waiting for the ferry to leave

Back at the cruise dock, Fort at Royal Navy Dockyard
