Off to the Grand Lake area which is just south of Fredericton NB. We are staying in a Dome for 2 nights with a wood fire hot tub.
We started off our weekend doing hikes and looking for waterfalls in the Henderson area.
Our first hike is called McCrae farm. It is down a dirt road which is about 2KM long. A few hills along the way. At the end there a few old building including an old school

Almost to the end. |
On the walk, someone stopped and talked to us and told us about a waterfall on his land we could go see. A short hike in the woods for this one. Most of it was frozen still.
Our final hike for the day was to go see Henderson Falls. We parked at the end of the dirt road as it look a bit muddy to drive on. About 1 KM walk in on the road with a steep climb down at the end

Day 3
After breakfast, we headed out to find the Midland Ice caves
It is a 5KM moderate hike with a big hill to start with. We missed the first turn and ended doing a bit more hiking.

A long way up. A few icy spots on the flats. |

Wendy stayed behind as it was very icy |
