Day 4 Dolphins and Playa Kalki

Woke up this morning to hear Nancy calling to Ron that there are dolphins out front of the rentals

Quickly get into our snorkel gear, and head into the water for what I am sure will be a once in a lifetime experience, swimming with dolphins in the wild

Yes, we are very excited!

The following dolphins pictures were taken by Nancy LeBlanc.

We decide to go back to Playa Grandi to see the turtles and explore a little bit more.  They are going to have to do something about this beach, word is definitely out that this is the place to see turtles.  It is only going to get worse, poor turtles.  This is still a fishing piers, so fisherman are trying to maneuver through snorkelers, it is an accident waiting to happen.  As well this crazy man is calling the turtles by name from the pier and feeding them.  This man calls for hours on end, we can hear him from our rental.

After lunch  we headed to Playa Kalki, another beach not far from our rental.  This beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas, shade is at a premium as this beach is shared by a resort right above it, and it is not a very big beach.

We saw these divers while we were out snorkeling, they seemed to be doing research on the coral

2 sun lovers!

We had a snorkel at Playa Kalki and saw our first octopus.

sunset back at our rentals, again....

Tonight we tried supper at the restaurant right outside our rental.  It was an interesting special, meat served on these huge skewers.  We had a really nice conversation with the young couple from Rotterdam sitting beside us, they have had so many travel adventures already, fun to compare travel stories

Andre trying a blue curacao drink
The boys having manly drinks. Blue Lagoon and Pina Colada.

Check out the meat skewers!
