PEI - Eastern side - Aug 2021 Day 1

We are off to PEI for a couple of days with Joey.  We are staying at a B&B in St Peters Bay.

Points East Coastal Inn, bed and breakfast, located in St. Peters Bay, PEI.

We got tested on the PEI side and had to give our cell phone number.  If we don't hear from the in 2 hours we are negative. No phone call, so no problem.

Lighthouse on the Borden Wharf PEI side

A couple of country side pictures, potatoes, canola fields and farms with rolling hills, Welcome to PEI

We parked at the B&B and unloaded our bikes to a ride to Morell. We almost made it there but a bridge was being repaired at the 10KM out of 12KM.  We followed what used to be the railroad track. It is called the confederation trail and runs from tip to tip of the province.

Oysters and/or Mussels farming

A long way to the far end of PEI

At the 10KM mark.

At the 9 KM mark

A few bird pictures from along the way.

This is the church we can see from the B&B, So we decided to bike there and add 4 KM of biking.

The B&B where we are staying

Lunch & Dessert of course

A big hill to the church, our bikes only have 7 gears

Dropped off the bikes and we are off to Greenwich beach is is part of PEI National Park. (Cavendish beach is another part of the NP) Beautiful sand dunes and very quiet area compared to Cavendish beach. We spent some time at the beach just relaxing.

Car at the B&B

For supper we decided to do Fish & Chips. I think this was the only place in St Peters Bay that was open. Super busy and could not get a table inside or on the patio so we decided to take it back to the B&B.  It is Sunday night so lots of locals and of course tourists as well.
