Fundy NP Feb 2021

 We decided to spend Valentines weekend in Fundy NP.

I love looking at the old houses between Moncton and Alma NB.  So many Victorian houses. I always say to myself, I will come back in the summer by myself and do a photo shoot.  One of these days 

This weekend we took our cross country skis and snowshoes with us.

We decided to do a 6 KM cross country outing.  This is our first time with hills as the place near us is pretty much flat. This one has around 125 meters elevation change.

Not where we stayed. This one is a couple of KM from the main road and you have to bring everything by sled yourself.

We tried to ski in the afternoon on the golf course but there was no track set, so we only did a small bit.

We then went to the campground and did a short loop.  No set trail there either but it was groomed. Lots of snow here this winter.

For supper we walked into town and went to Octopus Garden cafe.  It is the only place in town unless you want to order pizza and take it back. No dinning in at the pizza place because of covid.

We had a great meal, we shared a cheese plate to start and each had a homemade noodle pasta.

Day 2

We decided to go snowshoeing today.  We did a loop called East Branch which is a 6 km loop.

At the 1/2 way point. There a small lake/pond.

We went for an outing as well on the golf course.

This is the tee off on #1. Kids were having fun going down it on skis even if there was not much snow.

Late afternoon we walked into town to see the fishing boats.

Day 3

Decided to redo the loop that we had done on Friday.

Afterwards we went to Bennett lake and went for a 4 KM snowshoe

People did snowshoe on the lake but we did not.

At the turning around point there a small brook/river.  Beautiful with all the snow
