Cape Breton day 6 Glenora Distillery

After playing our second round of golf at Dundee Resort, we drove to Glenora Distillery where we are staying the night. This is the only single malt distillery in North America.  The prices of the whiskey reflect this fact.  The can not call it scotch since it is not made in Scotland.   We did a 20 minute tour of the distillery. No work being done in July.

Only golf picture of the day, me on #10 which I hit both days. A great par 3 to finish the round.

Guess what, Ice Cream break

Trimming trees

Farm country

Bilingual signs, English & Gaelic

small tasting at the end.

The ground are beautiful

The view from the lodge deck where we are staying tonight. Must be beautiful in the fall

Back to the room for a break before going to the pub for supper. Because of Covid the main dinning room is not open. Not sure we would have gone anyway as the prices are high but it is also rated as a great restaurant, so maybe next time. 2 young girls were playing traditional music, dance and songs. Very good.

Big beer for me, small Caesar for Wendy

Swordfish for me and Fish & Chip for Wendy. Delicious

Shared dessert, very sweet whiskey sauce but very yummy.
