We decided to take the ferry from Englistown which is only a 5 minute cable ferry which is about 20KMS shorter drive. We got on with a bunch of people doing the Cabot trails on bikes. 3 days, not for us.

We stopped at the Clucking Chicken and get hot biscuits for breakfast for the next 2 days.

Where we catch the ferry over the little gap.

Luggage for 3 days.

Stopped at the Clucking Chicken for coffee and also picked up Tea Biscuits for breakfast for the next couple of days

Stop to catch the view on Smokey

Ingonish Harbour

After getting our room, we had enough time to hike the trail behind the Keltic Lodge.  Middle Head is about 5km return. Great hike with beautiful views. A few ups and downs but nothing too hard.

Headed to Hightland links for our Sunday afternoon golf round. The have a special on Sunday after 1:30 which includes 2 rounds and a power cart. A great course. I lost a few too many golf balls but still had a great time. Lots of very interesting golf holes and the course was in great shape. Some people were walking the course but it would be a challenge with the hills and the distance between the holes.

It is ranked 16th in Canada according to golf digest.

Many steep hills with a few blind shots

Back at the hotel

For supper we stayed at the lodge and went to the pub for burgers. The was a man playing and singing local tunes which was good.  After supper we walked around the property and called it a night.
